The Bobcat E62 is a reduced tail swing design compact excavator with an operating weight around 6.2 tonne. This model is equipped with the similar cab used on the 8 tonne compact excavator offering great comfort in terms of operator environment, leg room, air conditioning and visibility.

Clear and functional LCD operating system
The operating system is located in front of the operator to provide all the required information within sight. The 5.7″ LCD colour panel provides all kinds of additional functionalities, such as auxiliary hydraulic settings, maintenance diagnostics and keyless capabilities.

Versatile auxiliary hydraulics
In terms of auxiliary hydraulics, both the first and second auxiliary hydraulics are standard installed on this model and are propotionally controllable in two directions by the joysticks. The flow of the auxiliary hydraulics is adjustable in order to operate any kind of attachment.

Easy maneouverability when leveling
The travel motors are standard equipped with the auto-shift feature to enhance the maneuverability of the model especially for turning and levelling activities, since it automatically shifts down during heavy loads.

Safety features which facilitates regional requirement
The standard boom and arm load holding (safety) valves will support the dealer to apply for a lifting certification and an optional load holding valve is offered on the blade, which would eliminate the blade floating feature. This feature supports the operator to easily level the ground

Market leading fuel efficiency
The engine automatically idles the engine when functions are not used and for four seconds and returns to normal operating throttle when operation resumes, which improves the fuel efficiency. The integrated refueling pump will support the operator to fillup the fuel tank by pumping fuel from any reservoir.

Similar to the other “E” generation excavators, the Bobcat E26 is designed for reliability, operator comfort, smooth workgroup control and superior hydraulic performance. The E26 offers numerous customer advantages and new technologies that are not yet available on many of the compact excavators currently in the market.

The E26 has an operating weight of 2.695 kg (including cabin and standard bucket) this in combination with the excellent stability allows the customer to configure the E26 with the optional long arm with or without the additional counterweight, improving the transportability by trailer.

Excellent stability and transportability
By optimizing the weight of the workgroup using the proven “4-plate box” technology, the center of gravity has been moved towards the back of the excavator. As a result, the E26 does not require an additional counterweight when configured with the optional long dipper stick. Thanks to the optimized weight, the E26 can be more easily transported by trailer.

Smooth and powerful hydraulics
Thanks to a new main control valve, optimized pump and higher working pressure, the hydraulic system allows smooth, quick and simultaneous operations in combination with powerful digging forces.

Uncompromised operator comfort
A key feature on the E26 is the incorporation of the same cab used on the Bobcat range 3 to 5 tonne compact excavators. Operator comfort and ample entry space have always been very important features of Bobcat compact excavators, and the Bobcat E26 does not compromise these features. This also counts for the improved operator noise level.

    • Joystick controlled boom swing
      Boom swing is controlled by a thumb wheel located on the left joystick, instead of the pedal control used on many competitive machines of this size. This feature allows for improved controllability (metering) of the boom swing as well as offering more floor space for the operator.
    • New auto-shift travel motors
      A new feature offered by the Bobcat E26 is the auto-shift travel motor which allows an automatic transition of speeds. The machine shifts automatically from low to high speed or vice versa, providing superb travel performance in any working condition. The operator activates this feature by simply pushing the button on top of the blade control lever.
    • More ergonomic design
      Travel controls with new cast aluminum pedals enable smooth, precise control of the machine. When not in use, the pedals can fold forward for maximum foot room and easy cab clean-out. The travel levers are positioned in adjacent to each other, allowing easy drive control, even with one hand if necessary. This makes it easier to backfill as the operator can steer with one hand while adjusting the blade with the other. Another approach would be to use the floating feature on the blade.

Computer-aided design, highly durable materials and structures which are endurance-tested under extreme conditions contribute to improved reliability and extended service life.

Serviceability
The E26 is designed so all daily maintenance points are easy to access through the rear tailgate, right hand side cover, removable grill and side panels on both sides of the excavator.
